Francisco Rivera, 41, was taken into custody in Lancaster County on Tuesday, Nov. 8, Reading police said in a release.

He's charged with attempted murder and related offenses in connection with a shooting on Oct. 28, officials said.

As Daily Voice has previously reported, Reading police were dispatched to a McDonald's on North Ninth Street just before 7 a.m. for a reported shooting. There, an 18-year-old victim said he'd been shot in the jaw by another driver near the intersection of North Sixth Street and Spring Street, police said.

The victim was able to give a statement to police and was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to the department.

At the time, investigators said road rage may have been a motivating factor in the attack.
